"You Put Me Out Of Business"

10/28/2020

We hear countless positive and sometimes negative remarks through the course of our business. Most people are more under pressure these days and we get it, we truly do, however there are those times when they blurt out irrational and hurtful thoughts.

"You Put Me Out Of Business"

One such remark was “you put me out of business” due to a failed truck inspection. Putting someone out of business requires more effort than what we are capable of. Also, we are not out to get people. We DO pass all vehicles that CAN be passed according to Queensland regulations.

Let’s clarify a couple of fun facts about us, shall we?

  1. We do not sit at home rubbing our palms together, devising plans about how to put someone out of business

  2. We do not aim to take revenge on our customers who forgot to smile at us

  3. We do not lose our cool when someone has a flat battery AND can’t find their car keys

  4. We wait patiently when someone is just getting dressed to come down from level 15 or above even though we had called them 10 minutes before

  5. We do not secretly wear out our customers’ tyres to fail their vehicles

  6. We do not magically put chips into their windscreens

  7. We do not tamper with any warning lights in the car to make them light up by the time we come to the inspection

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:

  1. We do not pass a vehicle which should have been failed just for the sake of a customer’s smile and satisfaction, as it could and will endanger other lives

We do not have such special powers and even if we did we would put them to better use.
